DJEMBA
Hello my name is Joseph Djemba and I am the coordinator or chairman of the Kings of Kibera.
I have been working with street children you could say most of my life as I was a former street child myself.
Street life is no place for a child, one sees things that no person should, life is 50-50, only the strongest survive.
I myself come from Kibera and know well first
hand the challenges and adventures of survival on the streets of
Africa's largest slum.
I have always believed in the necessity of the
basics or a strong foundation for life, such as housing, food, and
education, without these a child has no chance of a better future.
Running
the Kings of Kibera I am sure to make this home for street children the
shinning star of Kibera and Kenya, setting the new standard for care.
"Lets give to our Street Children today what society and life didn't give to us before."

JAMES
Hello, My name is James Mrui and I am the activities manager and a care taker for the Kings of Kibera.
I have been working with the Kings for several years now. What I am responsible for is taking care of the Kings on the weekends.
This means that I bring the Kings out on numerous activities, such as swimming, playing football, going to the park, to making sure that the Kings have their homework and uniforms ready for the coming week.
I am from Kibera and so know very well the challenges or obstacles and what it takes to raise leaders from the community.
I am also a family man myself being married and having children of my own.
Children are children and as long as they have a healthy loving environment to grow up in they have unlimited potentials.
